Bruce K. Hust, Esq., is a Cincinnati native and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Bruce graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Police Science in 1979. He attended law school at the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University and was admitted to practice law in Ohio in 1986. Throughout his extensive legal career, Bruce has demonstrated a profound commitment to justice and public service.
Bruce has spent nearly 40 years in the Hamilton County court system, beginning his career as trial counsel for the Juvenile and Municipal Divisions of the Hamilton County Public Defender’s office. Transitioning to full-time private practice, Bruce gained extensive experience in the probate civil commitment process and appellate work. He has also been appointed to represent clients in Municipal misdemeanor cases, Common Pleas felony cases, and Common Pleas felony appeals.
Furthermore, Bruce served as a Juvenile Court Magistrate before joining the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office. As an assistant prosecutor, Bruce worked in the Children’s Services Division, the Appellate Division, and the Felony Division, where he specialized in Drug Court cases. After a short stint in the security services industry, Bruce has joined Herzner Law to return to his true passion – the representation of clients facing criminal or traffic charges.
